1. Jo Byung Gyu
On February 16, an anonymous netizen accused Jo Byung Kyu of bullying in New Zealand. Although HB Entertainment confirmed that the netizen apologized for the false accusation post, Jo Byung Kyu decided to forgive them without any legal accusations. However, after that, there were continuously more witnesses accusing the actor of bullying.
HB Entertainment gives an official statement to deny the allegations and warns that if there is any false posting, they will respond with strong legal action.
On February 22, KBS announced that Jo Byung Gyu’s program in KBS variety show with national MC Yoo Jae Suk was being delayed. Many speculated that the postponement was due to Jo Byung Gyu’s scandal.
On February 23, the actor officially stated on his personal page that he attended the same school as the victim but did not know or have connections with that person.
2. Soojin ((G) I-DLE)
On February 21, a netizen (abbreviated as A) suddenly posted a furious comment on Instagram to accuse Soojin of bullying her sister: “It’s time to expose Soojin (G) I-DLE’s bullying behavior”. A wants everyone in the world to know about Soojin’s behavior. Although she feels sorry for the other members in (G) I-DLE, A cannot ignore the pain her sister has suffered in the past.
A said: “Soojin asked my sister and her friends to go to the bathroom, then asked them to slap each other. She even sent a message in the chat group, saying that my sister was a misfit.Soojin’s TV image is disgusting. My sister gets so miserable every time she hears (G) I-DLE’s songs. I will post more details on SNS because everything I’m saying is true, I’m not afraid if someone sues me.”
This is not the first time Soojin has encountered rumors of bullying her friends. Previously, a netizen posted a photo of Soojin’s middle school yearbook as evidence. This person also revealed: “Every day, Soojin’s whole body smells of cigarette smoke. She often drank and hangs out with older men. Soojin often said that she feels dizzy when drinking. Her attitude and disregard for others really shocked me.” This post has been removed.
By the morning of February 22, actress Seo Shin Ae made netizens more suspicious of Soojin by unexpectedly posting a story with the hidden content “None of your excuses”. It is known that Seo Shin Ae and Soojin used to go to the same middle school. From here, netizens think that Seo Shin Ae was a victim of school violence and Soojin is a bully.
Although Cube Entertainment denied and claimed to sue the rumor, controversy still broke out around Soojin.
Recently, after a series of accusations of school violence, Soojin wrote a long letter. In it, she confirmed that she had made many mistakes in the past such as improperly dressed and tried smoking a few times, but absolutely she did not bully anyone and had never talked to Seo Shin Ae.
3. Kim Dong Hee
On February 21, there was a topic on Pann titled “Actor Kim Dong Hee born in 1999 is a violence student in school”. The post stated: “I really hate seeing him having a flying career and receiving everyone’s love when he was involved in violence and bullying”. The owner of the post also mentioned the accusations of those graduating from the same school as Kim Dong Hee and posted the actor’s graduation photo as evidence.
On February 22, Kim Dong Hee’s agency, NPIO Entertainment denied the rumors: “We confirm that there are no incidents related to school violence. The writer of this article claims to be the third party, not the victim, who have also deleted the posts they uploaded. The company is taking legal action and will do its best so that our artist is not unjustly harmed by untrue information”.
4. MinGyu (Seventeen)

On the morning of February 22, young actress Park Hye Soo, the co-star of Jae Hyun (NCT) in the movie Dear M, was also denounced by an anonymous post as a bullying student in high school. On a Korean forum, an anonymous user revealed that she was bullied by “an actress with an innocent image”.
Through an interview, victim A revealed that she was harassed and insulted by a group in March 2011 without any reason. After that, the post was deleted, but netizens quickly discovered that the person mentioned in the post was Park Hye Soo.
However, after that, Hye Soo’s agency confirmed that the rumors are false and will take legal action to protect the artist.
6. Kim So Hye (former member of I.O.I)
On February 22, a person recounted that she knew about Kim So Hye in the past, including bullying and being famous as an individual student. Previously, in 2017, Kim So Hye was accused by an anonymous account of pulling hair and hitting a classmate and being disciplined by the school. However, due to insufficient evidence as well as tough statements from the management company, things have temporarily calmed down. In the midst of the recent bullying controversy, Kim So Hye’s bullying rumor was once again mentioned.
After that, Kim So Hye’s representative also gave an official stance: “We have asked the police to investigate. There were similar posts appearing in 2017. At that time, we had 10 people arrested, however, Kim So Hye didn’t want to sue them so we let them go and we were very disappointed that something like this happened again. After the results of the investigation, we will take strict action”.
7. Hyunjin (Stray Kids)
On February 22, a netizen posted on SNS to accuse Hyunjin of assaulting this person while they were in school. The person said he was unable to collect any evidence during the bullying process and no one thought that Hyunjin would become a celebrity.
This netizen wrote, “Unexpectedly, Hwang Hyunjin debuted as an idol and received love and support from so many people. I am the person who endures school violence by Hyunjin. Like I said before, I didn’t think he would become an idol, so I didn’t gather any evidence, only the evidence we went to the same school and my memory only”.
Then the person said: “We’re not too close, during the school time, we only communicated about 10 sentences. So I don’t understand why I became the target of his bullying. And I also couldn’t understand why I had to go through such bad feelings at that time”.
It is known that this is not the first time Hyunjin has been accused of bullying at school. In 2018, he was also accused of bullying his classmates, but then these allegations were proven false. In addition, a few old friends of the male idol said that he did not commit any violent acts in middle school. They said Stray Kids’ Hyunjin had struggled with rumors about him, and emphasized that he is a bright student trusted by his classmates.
On February 23, JYP released an official statement denying all allegations and will take legal action on the rumor.
8. Sunwoo (THE BOYZ)

That girl had to walk around the school with bruises all over her body. He skipped classes, smoked and drank all the time.” This post was later removed.
On February 23, Cre.Ker Entertainment has taken an official post to deny all allegations and will take legal action.
9. Chuu (LOONA)
On February 22, a netizen temporarily called A posted an article on a famous Korean online forum with the accusation that Chuu (LOONA) (real name Kim Jiwoo) bullied her when the two were at school. Accompanying this post includes the yearbook photos, photos of the school festival, etc. all with Chuu’s name to prove that A and the female idol attended the same school.
At the beginning of the post, A said: “When I heard the news of her debut, I didn’t feel very happy but I thought everything would be fine because I probably won’t see her often on TV. I thought that she would disappear quickly. However, lately, I’ve started to see her so often that I can’t watch TV comfortably anymore. The memories that I tried to hold back rose up. I think why does the victim have to hide in fear when the culprit can appear on TV as if nothing happened. That’s why I am writing this article”.
A stated that she was Chuu’s classmate. Although she was not very close with Chuu, A had visited Chuu’s house before. A then said that in their class there was another friend whose name was abbreviated as J * B – and that was the most influential person in the class. They study in a class of only girls because the school divides classes by gender. At that time, Chuu was said to always hang around with J * B and the two of them always spread discord to the other female students.
A stated: “J * B and Kim Jiwoo (Chuu) are always going everywhere and isolating other students for the simple reason that they don’t like these people”.
Not stopping there, A said Chuu and J * B invited her to a chat group. There, they cursed and insulted her. In addition, A was stopped by them on the way home because she dared to leave the chat group.
On February 23, the company Blockberry Creative took an official stance, denied all allegations and announced that they will take legal action.
10. Soyeon ((G) I-DLE)
On February 22, a netizen posted on the social network an article exposing Soyeon, claiming that she attended the same middle school with the female idol and was often hurt by Soyeon’s actions.
“Soyeon, do you remember me? I went through too much trauma because of your malicious words”.
This person told a story that happened on her birthday that forced her to change school.
“You said that since it’s my birthday, I have to treat everyone. She kept asking me for many things that I had to buy for her. That’s not the worst… but I won’t mention it here. I went through a period of hell just for you, to the point where I had to tell my parents to let me change school”.
CUBE Entertainment has yet to respond.
11. Kihyun (MONSTA X)
On February 23, a friend in his middle school class was said about Kihyun’s bullying and using violence. “He is one of the iljins (the term for students who bully others). He would call me and others ‘losers’.I was bullied and beaten. Strange rumors about me appeared and followed me everywhere. My money was taken away and I had to buy cigarettes for him.”
The post was later deleted. On the same day, Kihyun’s agency, Starship Entertainment released an official statement saying they were working to verify all the allegations, even though it was pointed out that all allegations were confirmed as false.
12. Aisha (EVERGLOW)
Aisha today has been caught up in accusations of verbal violence in the past. A person pointed out that Aisha had made comments that sexually harassed other students and repeatedly harassed the whistleblower.
Very quickly, Yuehua Entertainment Korea denied any rumors that were unfounded.
Early this morning, a person claiming to be a victim of HyunA posted an article on the social network with the title: “HyunA, I know you have to contact me first. Aren’t you a pioneer in school bullying?”.
“I know you will contact me”, the person wrote. “Don’t you remember or are you just pretending not to remember? Or do you simply think it’s just a secret between us?
I still remember it was the day of the fifth-grade festival, she asked me and two of my friends to a deserted street and said that she had never considered us friends. Soon after, she slapped us in the face, took off the other two’s glasses and threw them away, cruelly saying that the glasses made it difficult for her to slap them.
The reason I didn’t reveal it earlier was that I didn’t have the proof, and thought that no one would believe me. The only proof I have is a photo from the elementary school scrapbook.
I don’t know if anyone would believe it, but seeing her soothing on TV as if nothing had happened made my blood boil. Have you ever regretted or looked back at your actions?”.
This person also called on all the old schoolmates to testify and clarify the story: “Those of you who attended Inwang Primary School or Dong Myung Girls Middle School, please leave a comment if you have something to say”.
Responding to the accusation, the company that owns P.Nation just announced: “We are verifying the incident”.
Right after that, HyunA quickly denied the above information with a post on the main Instagram page:
“I’ve debuted for more than 10 years, it’s been exactly 14 years, and fortunately received a lot of love from the audience. Sometimes I get a lot of criticism, it’s also very worthy because I am human. No matter how frustrating it is, I will ignore it because I choose to pursue my passion, my dream is to be loved by the audience. I don’t want to let my fans down and my supporters hurt for nonsense reasons.
I debuted at the age of 15, so thankful that I was so young that I received a lot of love. I want to continue to learn and share warm things as I’ve done so far. I missed part of my childhood because I pursued my dream since I was 8 years old and practiced as an idol since 5th grade. Every day after school, I have to take the bus to the practice room.
The important thing here, I didn’t slap anyone. I hope many happy things will happen to the person who wrote the post.”
