Here are the times Nancy Momoland has a fashion crash with BLACKPINK, let’s see what’s going on:
Nancy – Lisa
Lisa BlackPink and Nancy Momoland once wore the same shirt in their photoshoots. Nancy chose to combine the blouse with a pink silk skirt. She also tucked her shirt in to create an overall elegant look. Looking at Nancy, we can see the gentle and feminine vibe of a muse.
However, this mix of clothes was somewhat usual and nothing too special. Coincidentally, Lisa also wore this shirt, but her style was more on the bold and free-spirit side of the spectrum.
Instead of fully buttoning the shirt like Nancy, Lisa left out some buttons and tied her shirt into a crop top to show off the ideal waist. Lisa also upgraded the look by such basic items like white shorts and sneakers. This combination was so creative and clever, giving her a gentle yet energetic appearance.
Choosing the princess dress, which is quite colorful and fluffy, easily makes the wearer look like a gift wrap. However, Nancy Momoland with her well-proportioned body, inherent porcelain white skin and dark brown hair back in the days still looks great in the dress.
Although Nancy looks stunning in the dress, unfortunately, Rosé, who had never failed to slay any type of costume, also chose to wear the same dress. Fans had a hard time deciding who looks better because both of them have their own strengths.
In Rosé’s version, BLACKPINK’s stylist cut the white waistband and kept only the ruffled part, so it helped her show off her body strengths like a slender figure and beautiful long legs.
Plus, the renowned blonde hair of Rosé blended really well with the dress’s colors, making her look like a magical princess stepping out from a fairytale. Overall, Rosé BlackPink is said to be a bit superior to Nancy Momoland in this round.
Nancy – Jennie
In the promotional poster for BLACKPINK’s first album “The Album,” Jennie wore a beret hat with Houndstooth pattern, which was sold out after that. Jennie was like a naughty and trendy princess wearing it.
Furthermore, this accessory was also very suitable for Jennie’s see-through bang, and really matched with her impressive makeup look, increasing her classy yet modern beauty.
Interestingly, many fans discovered a similar Houndstooth hat was also worn by Nancy Momoland before. Instead of the modern and bold spirit that Jennie opted for, Nancy was more on the classy and feminine side.
For the makeup, Nancy opted for the sleek and classy style, which can be clearly seen through the neat instead of smoky eye makeup. Combining this with the slightly wavy hair and the pearl earrings, Nancy looked truly like a lady about to go to a super posh event.
Basically, despite wearing the same beret, Jennie BlackPink and Nancy Momoland both got their own way to shine and thus, there was no winner for this match.
Another time that Nancy and Jennie had a crash in fashion was when they wore the same top to two different music awards. At the red carpet of The Fact Music Awards, six members of MOMOLAND appeared radiantly in black tone outfits, and the top that she wore was exactly the same as Jennie’s in the Melon Music Award 2018.
However, Nancy’s stylist had cut some details to simplify the outfit. It was missing the silver part covering the shoulders and the black velvet gloves. Since these were the two most prominent details of the top, it was no longer as impressive as the original design.
Besides, the stylist accidentally let her wear too many unnecessary accessories, making the overall outfit a bit overwhelming and lacking sophistication.
On the contrary, since BLACKPINK’s stylist altered the sequin stream and turned it into an over-shoulder top, Jennie looked way more elegant and stylish than the visual of Momoland.
Moreover, the top was cut short to show off Jennie’s tiny waist, making the overall look much better. To not look too bulky with the shoulder blades, Jennie tied her hair high and did not wear any accessories. The simple and delicate style helped Jennie look better in this encounter.
Out of the four BLACKPINK members, Jennie is the one having the highest frequency of wearing the same clothes as Nancy. As the global ambassador of Chanel, Jennie opted for a bright yellow tweed set from the house. Jennie cleverly added a black belt and styled her hair with a black bow headband, which ultimately turned her into a classy wealthy lady.
Unfortunately, whereas the set enhanced all Jennie’s strong points, it did the complete opposite thing to Nancy Momoland.
Having on the same $5,000 bright yellow outfit as Jennie, Nancy received many negative comments for literally downgrading the luxurious design. The reason for this might be the out-of-style sparkling cowboy boots of Nancy.
This was such an irrelevant and weird combination considering the classy and girly look of the set. Also, since Nancy’s body was chubbier than Jennie and her hairstyle was also super basic, she was for sure beaten by Jennie this round.
Nancy – Jisoo
Lately, when Jisoo posted a picture wearing a light mint fur jacket, fans were excited to know that Nancy also owned the same design. Though this is considered a picky color, which meant some might look rustic and dull when wearing it, Jisoo and Nancy both slayed the look thanks to their porcelain white skin tone. Yet, despite having the same hairstyle and light makeup, Jisoo BlackPink and Nancy Momoland both got their own way to shine.
As you can see, since Jisoo opted for a posing style, the jacket had the chance to show off its fluffy form. Yet, because she chose a Christy and cozy background, the jack looked super warm and soft rather than bulky.
The killing point of the simple look was Jisoo’s vibrant pink Dior bag. Though some may initially think that these two colors could hardly go with one another, Jisoo proved that this was in fact a super fun and interesting combination.
Whereas Jisoo seemingly wore the jacket to hang out, Nancy probably just wore it on a daily basis because she didn’t choose any complex accessories to mix with the jacket and the background here was just a simple wall.
So, basically, it was impossible to tell who wore the design better since while Jisoo BlackPink emitted a lavish and elegant vibe, Nancy Momoland slayed the look by her adorableness.
